Centre working on a scheme for Indian electronics brands

Union ministry of electronics and information technology (MeitY) secretary S Krishnan has said the Centre is working on a new scheme for supporting Indian electronics brands.

Speaking at an event in Chennai on Saturday, he said it would be a scheme for building globally recognised electronics brands and creating an electronics ecosystem, replacing the previous SPECS scheme and would target Indian companies.
