Netflix, Disney and other major streaming services are challenging the rules set by the Canadian government over new regulations that require them to financially support local news. According to a report by the news agency Reuters, a body representing these streaming platforms, the Motion Picture Association (MPA) Canada, has said that the Justin Trudeau-led Canadian federal government has acted unreasonably and provided no legal basis for the demand.
