Optiemus Infracom plans to invest Rs 140 crore in drone-as-a-service model

Domestic wearables and telecom equipment manufacturer Optiemus Infracom Thursday said it plans to invest around Rs 140 crore in a drone-as-a-service model under its drone-making subsidiary, targeting a revenue of Rs 600-900 crore by the end of calendar 2025.

The company had formed a subsidiary Optiemus Unmanned Systems (OUS) in 2023 with an initial investment of Rs 25 crore to design drones. OUS, on Thursday, announced a range of drones for agricultural and mapping use-cases.
