Online food delivery mkt to touch Rs 2 trn mark by 2030: Bain-Swiggy report

The online food delivery market is expected to reach Rs 2.12 trillion by 2030, by when it will command a 20 per cent share in the overall food services market, a report claimed.

According to the ‘How India Eats’ study by Bain & Company and Swiggy, the food delivery market will grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 18 per cent over the next six years.

The study said that the penetration of online food delivery has steadily increased over the years. From 8 per cent in 2019, it rose to 12 per cent in 2023, representing a 2.8 times growth.
