Capgemini to open new Chennai facility, invest Rs 1,000 crore over next 3 years

NEW DELHI: French IT and consulting services company Capgemini Tuesday said it will establish a new facility in Chennai, and invest Rs 1,000 crore over the next three years to empower local talent and grow business sustainably in the capital city of Tamil Nadu.

The 5,000-seat facility, spread across 600,000 square feet, is scheduled for completion in 2027, as per a media statement. Additionally, Capgemini said it is pledging nearly Rs 3 crores of the announced investment towards to the development of neighbouring government schools.
