Apple may get Microsoft-like OpenAI board observer role in landmark AI deal

Apple signed an artificial intelligence (AI) deal with OpenAI last month to integrate the company’s generative AI technology in Apple software. However, recent developments suggest that Apple may have secured additional benefits beyond just this. According to a report by Bloomberg, Apple will get an observer role on OpenAI’s board as part of a landmark AI agreement.
Phil Schiller, the head of Apple’s App Store and former marketing chief, was chosen for the position, the report states.
