India has the second-highest open access quantum computing users after US, says IBM executive

India has the second highest open access quantum computing users in the world after the US, at about 77,000, said Jay Gambetta, vice president of IBM Quantum.

In an interview to ET last Friday, he said he saw immense opportunities for the Indian industry to become pioneers in quantum computing in high priority use cases such as “sustainability, energy, green hydrogen, efficiency of CO2 recapture process or nitrogen in agricultural yield and logistics, among others”.
