Mark Zuckerberg-led Meta may be fined by the European Union (EU) for breaking the bloc’s digital laws. Worried about Meta’s ‘pay or consent’ models, the EU regulators are expected to issue preliminary findings this week, reports Financial Times.
Meta introduced a no-ads subscription service for Facebook and Instagram in Europe in November, 2023. The company then said that users who grant access to track their personal data will be able to use its social media platforms for free.
