YouTube may soon allow custom covers: Here’s what it means

According to recent findings in the YouTube for Android beta app (v19.26.33), the platform seems to be prepping a feature that allows users to upload custom covers for their video playlists.
Currently, YouTube automatically assigns a playlist cover image based on the thumbnail of the first video added. This might not always reflect the overall theme or content of the playlist.
