OpenAI partners with Time to train its AI model on magazine’s 101-years of content

OpenAI and Time magazine have struck a multi-year content licensing deal and strategic partnership, granting the AI company access to Time’s extensive archives spanning over a century. The agreement, announced on Thursday, June 27, 2024, aims to enhance OpenAI’s products, including ChatGPT, with Time’s content.
Under the terms of the deal, OpenAI will be able to use Time’s current and historic content from the past 101 years to train its large language models and incorporate the information into responses to user queries.
