iPhone users, you may soon be able to change your phone’s battery at home by yourself

Apple is developing a new technology that could make iPhone batteries easier to replace, according to a report from The Information. This move comes as the company prepares to comply with upcoming European Union regulations on electronic device repairability.
The new technology, called “electrically induced adhesive debonding,” would allow batteries to be removed by applying a small electrical current, rather than using the current method of adhesive strips.
