Vodafone Idea in talks with Samsung to expand 4G networks, roll out 5G

Vodafone Idea has held 5G trials in three network circles on a non-standalone architecture using virtual Radio Access Network (vRAN) solutions from Samsung, the company said.

Vi said it has been in active discussion with the Korean major since the past 12-18 months with the aim to expand its existing 4G networks and introduce 5G.
