Ericsson on how Reliance Jio, Airtel helped India reach 119 million 5G subscriptions by 2023-end

Reliance Jio’s and Airtel’s intensive 5G network deployments, coupled with widespread coverage and availability of affordable 5G services in the country helped 5G subscriptions in India reach around 119 million by the end of 2023, Ericsson’s latest Mobility Report has said.
It adds that 5G penetration in India reached 10% by the end of 2023, and is projected to account for 65% of mobile subscriptions in the region with 840 million by the end of 2029.
