Centre seeks report from Tamil Nadu over claims of married women denied work at Foxconn plant

The Ministry of Labour and Employment Wednesday said it has asked for a detailed report from the Tamil Nadu labour department on the media reports claiming married women not being allowed to work at the Foxconn India Apple iPhone Plant.

“The labour and employment ministry takes note of media reports on married women not being allowed to work at Foxconn India Apple iPhone Plant,” the ministry said in a statement.
