CCI rejects complaint alleging Google’s ‘bias’ towards Truecaller: What the tech giant said

The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has dismissed a complaint which alleged that Google India has given caller identification app Truecaller unfair access to user contact information, violating Google’s app policies and creating an unfair market advantage.
The complaint was filed in 2023 by Rachna Khaira who asked the Indian competition regulator to compel the tech giant to enforce their policy for all apps and ban Truecaller from making private contact information public, a report by Moneycontrol said.
