Google has put this team in “maintenance mode,” here’s what it means for employees
Google has stopped working on its Material Web Components (MWC), a set of tools for website designers. The company is “no longer actively staffing” the MWC project and has “reassigned the engineers working” on it to a different task.
MWC offered website makers a collection of design pieces based on Google’s Material 3 style. These included buttons, menus, text boxes, and other elements used to build websites.
The MWC team is now in “maintenance mode.” This means they won’t add new features, but will keep it working.
