After Apple, EU regulators accuse Microsoft of breaking new tech rules

Microsoft is facing a huge fine in the European Union (EU) as the region’s competition watchdog has informed the tech giant of its initial investigation that the US-based company has violated its new tech rules. The watchdog alleged that Microsoft has breached EU antitrust rules by tying its communication and collaboration product Teams to its popular productivity apps included in its suites for businesses Office 365 and Microsoft 365.
