Pune: Man told he is ‘suspect in Raj Kundra fraud case’, is duped of Rs 25L

“You are a suspect in the Raj Kundra money laundering fraud,” was what a 73-year-old man in Pune was told by a caller who posed as an Uttar Pradesh police officer. The septuagenarian was even made to write a confession.

However, it turned out to be yet another cyber fraud threatening criminal action in which the senior citizen ended up losing Rs 25 lakh to online fraudsters.

A First Information Report was registered at Cyber Crime Police station of Pune City by the 73-year-old man who is a resident of Wanawadi.
