New York state will soon allow parents to control their children to see reels and posts shared from accounts they follow, reports AP. The city’s Governor Kathy Hochul has passed a bill that blocks children from getting social media posts that are suggested by the platform’s algorithm.
The bill is the latest attempt by a state to regulate social media as part of concerns over how children interact with the platforms.
