IndiaAI Mission: AI in India gets boost as government announces fellowship program

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has announced the IndiaAI Mission – an initiative to nurture future talent in Artificial Intelligence (AI). The ministry has allocated a budget of Rs 10,372 crore for the program and it aims to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application of AI.
The government will launch the IndiaAI Mission at the Global IndiaAI Summit which is scheduled to be held on July 3-4 in New Delhi.
