Some Telecom Act 2023 sections to come into force from June 26

New Delhi: The government has notified that certain sections of the Telecommunications Act 2023 will come into force from June 26. However, some other sections of the Act like those relating to administrative allocation of spectrum, including for satellite services, and the adjudication mechanism etc will be notified later.

“In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of section 1 of the Telecommunications Act, 2023 (44 of 2023), the Central Government hereby appoints the 26th Day of June 2024, as the date on which the provisions of sections 1, 2, 10 to 30, 42 to 44, 46, 47, 50 to 58, 61 and 62 of the said Act shall come into force,” a gazette notification issued late Friday said.
