Anthropic launches Claude 3.5 Sonnet, claims it is better than GPT-4o and Gemini 1.5 Pro

Anthropic recently launched Claude 3.5 Sonnet, its latest AI model. The company claims it can perform equally well or outperform Google Gemini 1.5 Pro and OpenAI’s GPT-4o in a wide range of tasks. Founded by ex-OpenAI researchers and backed by the likes of Google and Amazon, Anthropic’s Claude chatbots have gained significant popularity.

Claude 3.5 Sonnet is available on iOS and web platforms. It is the company’s mid-tier offering, Haiku being the smallest model and Opus being the high-end model.
