Centre appoints Atul Chaudhary as new Trai secretary

NEW DELHI: The government on Thursday appointed Atul Kumar Chaudhary as a secretary of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) following the superannuation of V Raghunandan, last month.

Chaudhary, a 1989-batch Indian Telecommunication Services (ITS) officer, working as a deputy director general at the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), has been deputed for a two-year term, according to a notification.
