    Gig workforce: Why freelance techies are in demand

    BENGALURU: The gig workforce is emerging as one of the levers for enterprises to bridge the tech talent demand-supply gap. Gig workers get paid from $5 per hour for basic work, while mid-level prompt engineers, prompt engineering specialists, and senior AI engineers can make from $15 to $400 per hour, respectively, depending on the complexity of the programmes.
