India may lead the charge in global AI landscape: GitHub CEO

India can leapfrog to the forefront of the global AI landscape thanks to its fast-growing software developer community that is poised to overtake the US as the world’s largest by 2027, coinciding with the transformative AI era, GitHub CEO Thomas Dohmke told ET. India has 15.4 million active developers on the Microsoft-owned developer platform, an increase of 33% year-on-year.
