Allahabad HC’s ‘tough message’ to UP Police on spread of non-consensual photos of women online

The Allahabad High Court has criticised the Uttar Pradesh police for their ‘ineffective’ investigations into cases involving the sharing and circulation of non-consensual images, particularly those targeting women. Justice Ajay Bhanot highlighted the severity of the issue, calling the circulation of “indecent videos” an emerging threat to society, with women being the most vulnerable victims.
