Cyclone Remal: Vodafone Idea extends prepaid validity, offers 1GB extra data to affected customers

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea (Vi) Friday said it is extending the validity of its prepaid services by four days for customers affected by the cyclone Remal in Barak Valley, Meghalaya, Manipur, and Mizoram to ensure that they remain connected.

To further aid connectivity, Vi is offering 1GB of extra data along with few free outgoing minutes at no extra cost. “These measures are effective immediately and are applicable to select customers within the cyclone-affected regions,” the telecom operator said in a statement.
