4G saturation project: BSNL seeks Rs 99 crore O&M compensation from DoT

NEW DELHI: State-run Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has sought reimbursement of Rs 99 crores from the government due to the additional operations and maintenance (O&M) cost that it would incur under the 4G saturation project arising from the delay in delivery and commissioning of Evolved Node B (eNB) by the supplier.

“As per the delivery and commissioning progress of eNB from TCS/ITI, it is anticipated that there will be a delay in BTS installation at around 9,000 sites where BSNL will be required to start O&M,” Reena Malhotra, GM (NWP-SP), BSNL, said in a letter to Administrator, USOF, Department of Telecommunications (DoT).
