Police officer linked to Karnataka Bitcoin scam misled probe says SIT as cop seeks interim bail

A police officer in Karnataka, who is being investigated by a Special Investigation Team of the Crime Investigation Department (CID) in connection with the Bitcoin scam, misled investigations in the case, the SIT has argued in the course of hearing of an anticipatory bail plea filed by the officer in the High Court.

Shridhar Pujar, the deputy superintendent of police rank officer, sought fresh anticipatory bail after the Supreme Court on May 24 stayed a virtual interim bail order granted by the Karnataka High Court to the officer earlier that month.
