JioCinema says it saw ‘record’ 53% increase in IPL views in 2024, promises tailored content for Olympic Games Paris

JioCinema, the official streaming platform for the IPL, concluded the 2024 season with a record-breaking 2,600 crore views, marking a 53 percent increase from the previous year, the Viacom 18-owned OTT platform said on Thursday. Over the season, JioCinema amassed more than 35,000 crore minutes of “watch-time,” it added.

The platform saw substantial growth throughout the season, starting with an impressive opening night that attracted over 11.3 crore viewers—a 51 percent rise from the 2023 opener. On the first day alone, JioCinema registered 59 crore video views, resulting in 660 crore minutes of watch-time. Overall, JioCinema’s reach expanded by 38 percent, ending the season with over 62 crore viewers.
