Google announces Fitbit Ace LTE, a WearOS powered smartwatch for kids

Google recently unveiled the Fitbit Ace LTE, a new smartwatch designed for kids. While previous Ace models were trimmed-down versions of Fitbit’s fitness bands, Ace LTE is powered by the WearOS.

Apart from the standard fitness tracking features, the new smartwatch offers features like calling, messaging and location sharing with parents. Fitbit Ace LTE also comes with pre-installed interactive 3D games, with a twist; the company says kids will be able to get more game time the more they move.

These games use haptics, sounds and the accelerometer “to deliver fun and engaging gameplay.” To keep kids on their toes, Google says it will update the Fitbit Arcade with new games every few months.
