Display manufacturing needs special attention, says ICEA

The India Cellular and Electronics Association (ICEA) on Tuesday said display manufacturing in the country needs special attention as India is currently the third-largest consumer of display products.

The government is providing 50% fiscal support under the Rs 76,000-crore semiconductor incentive scheme for setting up display fabrication, but so far of the three applications received for setting up display fabs, none has got approval.
