Hollywood actor Scarlett Johansson recently accused ChatGPT maker OpenAI of using a voice for its AI-powered chatbot that sounds “eerily similar” to hers. She alleged that the company copied her voice after she turned down a request by CEO Sam Altman to license it.
Now, a new report by the Washington Post suggests that OpenAI issued a casting call last year and hired an actress for ‘Sky’, the voice Johansson claims sounds like her. According to the publication, documents reveal that the voice actor for ‘Sky’ was hired months before Sam Altman contacted Johansson.
