Trai to issue consultation paper to curb pesky calls

NEW DELHI: Govt is concerned about the growing menace of pesky calls and unsolicited commercial messages, and is now looking to work out a regulation to counter the menace. The first step will involve regulator Trai issuing a consultation paper on the matter, and thereafter working out recommendations.
Trai has taken note of the problem and will bring the consultation paper as early as next month to “significantly revise regulation,” chairman Anil Kumar Lahoti said on Friday.
