Amazon launches Fire TV Stick 4K in India

Amazon has introduced the Fire TV Stick 4K in India, offering fast-streaming of cinematic 4K content with Ultra HD picture quality, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and Dolby Atmos audio.

The Fire TV Stick 4K, priced at Rs 5,999, is touted to be the most powerful Fire TV device in India, boasting nearly 30% more power than its previous generations.

“Our viewers’ preference is shifting to watching lifelike, ultra-cinematic video content from the comfort of their homes. Customers seek streaming options that offer fast performance, superior picture and audio quality, smart features, immersive graphics for games, and so much more,” said Anish Unnikrishnan, General Manager for Amazon Devices India.

The Fire TV Stick 4K, powered by a 1.7 GHz quad-core processor, offers fast 4K content streaming, seamless navigation, and quick app launch.

The device supports Wi-Fi 6-compatible routers and 5GHz and 2.4GHz Wi-Fi bands, enabling customers to stream content at different internet frequencies.

The device with Alexa Voice remote allows users to discover, launch, and manage content using simple voice commands. Through the Alexa app, users can set up their own ‘Alexa Home Theatre’ by wirelessly connecting their Echo smart speakers to their Fire TV Stick 4K.

The Fire TV 4K Stick offers access to over a million movies and TV show episodes through 12,000+ apps via the App Store, including popular services like Prime Video, Netflix, Disney+ Hotstar, ZEE5, and JioCinema. It also gives access to free or ad-supported content from platforms like MiniTV, YouTube, and MX Player.
