Google could be your Mathematics or physics tutor with this new update
Google is one of the companies that has always been evolving…safe to say. It’s a company of experiments and for good. In the latest bringing, it has refreshed its search engine and Lens tool to help you solve complicated subjects like geometry, physics, trigonometry, and even calculus.
With this update, Google lets you type an equation in the search bar or simply take a photo using Google Lens. And in return, it gives you a step-by-step explanation along with the correct answer.
Additionally, you could also this new feature by entering “[math solver]” in the search bar but is only available for desktop users and will be available on mobile by the end of this year which is not far away.
For instance, we tried this feature with a simple high school algebra question, and asked Google to solve this: “6x + 5 = 14”
It provided a step-by-step explanation of each step with the final answer below x =3/2. This is just an example and real-life might be even better with tough equations.
Google utilized its Multitask Unified Model (MUM) to build this mathematics and physics solver, a system capable of comprehending diverse search queries in different formats, such as text, images, and videos.
In addition to the problem-solving tool, Google has also introduced new 3D models within its Search platform. These models allow users to explore interactive diagrams covering nearly 1,000 subjects, including fields like biology, chemistry, physics, astronomy, and more. Google initially introduced 3D models in 2021, starting with diagrams for over 200 topics related to chemistry, biology, physics, and anatomy.
