HP to sell refurbished laptops in India with ‘budget-friendly’ price tag
HP has launched refurbished laptops in India with an “affordable” tag. This program is now an India-exclusive but it will soon expand to other regions by next year, 2024. It will be exclusively available at HP-certified partners who will sell these “refurbished and affordable” PCs to customers as well as businesses.
HP says that this initiative is aimed at providing affordable PCs to students, startups, micro and small businesses as well as freelancers. It aims to provide the essentials to those who require a system to work but are on a budget.
HP India refurbished laptops program: How this works?
HP India is expanding its refurbished PC program to offer laptops to retail customers and small businesses through a subscription model for 6, 12, or 24 months which is now being expanded to a transactional basis. The program will initially focus on notebooks and will be operated by an HP-certified partner.
The partner will source devices from enterprise and retail consumers, refurbish them to HP’s standards, and sell and provide comprehensive post-sales support, including an after-sales warranty.
HP India’s Vice President Gurpreet Singh Brar said, “It’s a game-changer for those facing financial constraints, opening doors to PC usage. Students gain educational resources, small enterprises enhance productivity, and startups find a cost-effective tech solution, all contributing to a more digitally inclusive society.”
Furthermore, HP’s refurbished program offers eco-friendly, cost-effective devices tailored to individual needs. It’s part of HP’s goal to achieve 75 per cent circularity by 2030, as per the company.
