Cyber Protection Authority

The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Finance, chaired by Jayant Sinha, has suggested setting up of a centralised and empowered ‘Cyber Protection Authority (CPA)’, solely dedicated to cybersecurity, similar to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), to tackle the rising instances of white-collar crimes in cyberspace.
