HFCL bags Rs 1,015 cr deal from Madhya Pradesh Jal Nigam
Homegrown telecom gear maker HFCL Monday said it has bagged a Rs 1,015 crore deal from Madhya Pradesh Jal Nigam (MPJN), a government of Madhya Pradesh undertaking.
“This order encompasses providing EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) services including provision for laying of optical fiber cables on critical and important routes, for the execution of multi-village drinking water supply network in Sheopur district of Madhya Pradesh,” HFCL said in a regulatory filing on Sunday.
HFCL said the installation of optical fiber cables in these areas will also enhance the operation and maintenance of the network.
“This order is expected to boost the company’s revenue and profitability,” the gear maker said.
The abovementioned project will be executed by HFCL in collaboration with Khilari Infrastructure Private Limited as a consortium partner.
HFCL said the project has to be executed within 24 months from the date of the order.
“Following the successful commissioning of the project, a three month trial run will be conducted. Thereafter, the company has to provide operation & maintenance services for ten years including defect liability period of one year which will run concurrently,” said HFCL.
HFCL’s shares were trading 3.24% higher at Rs 74.77 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Monday.
