Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has launched an artificial intelligence based portal called Sanchar Saathi that enables telecom users to check the connections registered on their names, report fraudulent or unrequired connections, block/ trace the mobile phones which are stolen/ lost and check IMEI genuineness before buying a new/ old mobile phone.

Sanchar Saathi system has been designed in-house by DoT and contains the following three modules:
