Protecting Consumers

In a move to protect the interest of the consumers of telecommunication service, Trai has come out with three new directions in the month of February. On February 16, it issued two directions: (i) to Access Providers to stop misuse of Headers and Message Templates and (ii) to curb unauthorized promotions using telecom resources under Telecom Commercial Communication Customer Preference Regulations (TCCCPR), 2018.
