Lava inks partnership with edtech platform Doubtnut to provide education via smartphones

Homegrown handset maker Lava on Monday said it has signed a partnership with edtech platform Doubtnut to provide access to education to students via smartphones.

Lava said in a statement that its upcoming smartphone will come pre-loaded with Doubtnut app, which will provide “free subscription to quality education” for students. In addition, students will be able to access Doubtnut’s instant doubt-solving platform.

“The partnership enables us to reach out to a larger number of students across India. With this association we want to ensure that the aspirations of the youth are nurtured and valued,” said Sunil Raina, President & Business Head, Lava International.

Together we aim at creating an impact and touching lives of students, enabling them to shape our nation’s future. As part of the 1-year free course subscription, students can access Doubtnut’s premium courses in both Hindi and English,” said Aditya Shankar, Founder, Doubtnut.

The Doubtnut app is accessible 24×7 to students and apart from online courses, the edtech platform claims that a student can clear his or her doubt “just by clicking the image of the question and get an instant video solution”.

Lava added that its upcoming smartphone will come pre-loaded with a free subscription to Doubtnut’s course material for classes 9th to 12th (worth up to Rs 12,000) for one year.
