Reliance Jio launches 5G services in Lucknow

Another new year gift for the city as Reliance Jio on Wednesday launched 5G services.

With this launch, the users of telecom can experience unlimited data at up to one Gbps speed, at no additional cost.

The service will be available at areas along the Shaheed path, airport, SGPGI, KGMU, railways, Hazratganj, Gomti Nagar, Aliganj, Aishbagh, Rajajipuram, Aminabad, Jankipuram, Alambagh, Vikas Nagar and other areas.

Soon, the company would expand its services in the rural belt of the state capital, and gradually expand its 5G service in 100 other locations in the state.

A Jio spokesperson said, “With the launch of 5G services, consumers of the city will not just get the best telecommunication network but will also get infinite growth opportunities in the areas of e-governance, education, automation, artificial Intelligence, gaming, healthcare, agriculture, IT, and SMEs”.

“We are grateful to the Uttar Pradesh government for their continuous support in our quest to digitize the region”, added the spokesperson.

Jio has the largest and best mix of 5G spectrum across 700 MHz, 3500 MHz, and 26 GHz bands and seamlessly combines these 5G frequencies into a single robust “data highway” using an advanced technology called Carrier Aggregation.
