If you are a consumer of mobile telephone services and for some reasons you want to port out to another operator and also want to retain your original number, as per the process, you need to send an SMS from your mobile to 1900. In return your operator will send you an SMS providing you Unique Porting Code (UPC) which can be used to shift your number to another operator without changing your mobile number.
