Digital Payments

Despite the Covid-19 pandemic, digital payments continued its growth across the country including the rural pockets. In terms of technology leapfrogging, nothing has quite matched the leapfrogging that the mobile phone has managed to achieve. On top of it two technological developments – advent of UPI and the rollout of millions of QRs at physical merchant locations – played a key role in igniting the digital payments movement.
