Motorola’s Minim launches WiFi mesh system in India with WiFi backhaul starting at Rs 7,999

Minim, a networking products maker under Chinese brand Motorola, Monday launched Motorola MH7020 Whole Home WiFi Mesh System in India with WiFi backhaul, starting at Rs 7,999.

The WiFi mesh system along with the motosync app will be offered at Rs 7,999 (one-pack), Rs 13,999 (two-pack), or Rs 19,999 (three-pack).

“India represents over 22 million broadband users and is growing rapidly, while the number of WiFi product offerings are limited… With class-leading hardware coupled with the motosync app that offers parental controls, data tracking, and advanced management options, we expect Motorola MH7020 to be one of the leading WiFi mesh systems in the India market,” said Prashanth Mani, Executive Director, Motorola Asia Pacific.

The Motorola MH7020 WiFi Mesh System comes in three variants — Motorola MH7020 bundled with an AC2200 tri-band router, MH7022 with an AC2200 tri-band router and one satellite, and MH7023 with an AC2200 tri-band router along with two satellites.

Unlike traditional dual-band routers, Motorola Whole Home WiFi provides a dedicated channel for WiFi backhaul supported with WiFi amplifiers. It is claimed to provide upto 5,000 square feet of coverage.

The mesh system comes with the MotoManage app. Indian consumers will be offered a free upgrade to the new motosync app that will provide lifetime access to premium features.

In terms of features, the motosync app helps monitor home WiFi from anywhere and also detects threats and provides security alerts, stops unwanted devices from joining network, optimizes network performance, and provides parental controls.

As for in-box contents, the MH7020 (1-pack) comes with Mesh-Ready WiFi Router, Power Adapter, Ethernet Cable, Quick Start Flyer, MotoManage App with Free Upgrade to motosync.

The MH7022 (2-pack) includes 1 Whole Home WiFi Router, 1 Whole Home WiFi Satellite, 2 Power Adapters, 2 Ethernet Cables, Quick Start Flyer, MotoManage App with Free Upgrade to motosync.

Lastly, the MH7023 (3-pack) includes 1 Whole Home WiFi Router, 2 Whole Home WiFi Satellites, 3 Power Adapters, 3 Ethernet Cables, Quick Start Flyer, MotoManage App with Free Upgrade to motosync.
