CETIN, NEC, Fortinet partner on network modernization project in four countries

CETIN a.s., and NEC Europe Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of NEC Corporation Tuesday signed a network security project under which NEC will provide end-to-end services based on Fortinet and Cellusys’s solutions to modernize CETIN Group’s network in Serbia, Hungary, and Bulgaria as well as Telenor’s network in Montenegro.

As per an official statement, the project was launched to enhance CETIN’s network in Central and South-Eastern Europe.

For this project, NEC has been selected as the system integrator and it will provide end-to-end services including design, installation, commissioning, support, and maintenance of network security solutions.

NEC will work in conjunction with automated cybersecurity firm Fortinet and signaling security solutions provider Cellusys to deploy network security solutions such as Telco Cloud Core security solutions, managed security solutions, Telco Gi Firewalls, Telco Signaling and GRXs security solution, enterprise network security solutions, and VPN Gateway solution, the statement added.

At the same time, CETIN Group will implement Fortinet Security Fabric solutions to secure critical devices, data, applications, and connections ranging from the data center to the cloud, and to the home office.
