Vodafone Idea’s enterprise arm signs deal to launch cloud firewall for businesses
Vodafone Idea’s (Vi) enterprise arm Vi Business Monday launched a new security offering, ‘Vi Cloud Firewall’, a cloud-deployed security solution for enterprises in partnership with Firstwave Cloud Technology.
Firstwave Cloud Technology helped design Vi Cloud Firewalls for Vi’s OpenStack RedHat Cloud environment, managed using Firewave’s Cloud Content Security Platform (CCSP). The Firewall solution is powered by Palo Alto Networks VM-Series Virtual Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW) technology, as per an official statement.
The new security offering comes with new firewall features like a gateway, antivirus, DDoS protection, secure VPN, data loss prevention, content filtering, real-time intelligence, amongst others.
The statement added the deployment of this network-based solution will require zero Capex, zero-touch, and will eliminate the need for an on-premise infrastructure for enterprises to set up and run.
