Bharti Airtel upgrades network in Haryana by deploying additional 20MHz spectrum in 2300 band
Bharti Airtel Thursday upgraded its network in Haryana by rolling out an additional 20MHz spectrum in the 2300MHz band along with advanced network software tools to bolster high-speed data capacity.
With the addition of this fresh spectrum acquired during the latest spectrum auctions, Airtel has the largest spectrum bank of 71.2MHz in Haryana.
Airtel has also deployed advanced network technologies and tools such as pre-5G Massive MIMO, 4G Advanced, and Carrier Aggregation to step up high-speed network capacity and coverage.
The Sunil Mittal-led telco said the additional spectrum will enable improved network availability and data speeds in urban and rural areas, as well as provide wider coverage along highways and rail routes.
It currently holds 40MHz spectrum in the 2300 band, 26.2MHz spectrum in 1800 and 2100 bands, and 5MHz in the 850MHz band, in the state.
“With the highest spectrum holding at 71.2 MHz in Haryana, Airtel is well-positioned to meet the surging demand for high-speed data. We remain obsessed with delivering a world-class service experience to our customers and continue to invest aggressively in the new spectrum and network upgrades at a time when our customers need it the most,” said Manu Sood, Hub CEO – Upper North, Bharti Airtel.
As per Airtel, it has over 5.38 million customers in Haryana and its network covers 97.57% population of the state.
