Satellite-based IoT connectivity

Trai has come out with a consultation paper on the licensing framework for the satellite-based connectivity in the IoT environment. It said that for the low bit applications and IoT, two models are present. One is the Hybrid model consisting of ie Low Power Wide-Area Network (LPWAN) and Satellite in which each sensor and actuator in a network may communicate with the satellite through an intermediate sink node, ie LPWAN or LPWA gateway.
